Responsibilities • This senior-level sales account manager is responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts through business to business sales of Symantec software licensing, appliances and services to enterprise accounts (1,000-5,000 employees) as well as some large enterprise Fortune 2000 accounts. • Working with the District Sales Manager, develop and implement specific customer account and opportunity plans in support of company goals and quota objectives. • Effectively engage sales resources: SE, Channel, ISO, Solutions sales teams and executives on the development and implementation of customer account plans. • Using CRM, responsible for the development, management and closure of forecasted opportunities. • Manage and drive revenue through complex, multiple go-to-market strategies. • Execute complex sales and effectively manage the sales process and activities. • Meet or exceed sales quota. • Work independently and remotely, receiving little supervision for most assignments. • Interface to negotiate and exchange information with all levels of management.
Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. • Requires a minimum of 4-6 years demonstrated successful account management experience selling enterprise security and/or storage software to the executive level customer in the high-tech industry. • Proven track record of strong and consistent achievement against quota. • Ability to effectively partner with and engage internal sales resources, i.e. Sales Specialists and Sales Engineers, as well as liaise with external partners at all levels. • Excellent time management skills. • Ability to take account ownership. • Good analytical capabilities. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent presentation skills.
